Why you should play EuroMillions

Jackpots rollover until they reach the €220 million (almost ₹2,000 Crore!) limit.
Amazing odds of 1 in 13 of taking home a prize.
Minimum guaranteed jackpots of ₹149 Crore twice a week!
The rules of EuroMillions and winning percentages
EuroMillions draws asks players to choose 5 numbers from 1 to 50 and 2 Lucky Stars from 1 to 12.
The smallest payout goes to players who match 2 main draw numbers.
Jackpots are split among players who match all 7 numbers in the draw.
There are 2 draws each week, at 00:30 IST on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The prize structure is a little complicated, as players matching the numbers in each winning tier share a percentage of the total prize fund. See the table below for a full breakdown:
Matches (+ Lucky Stars) | % of Prize Fund | Odds of Winning |
---|---|---|
5 + 2 | 50%* | 1 in 139,838,160 |
5 + 1 | 2.61% | 1 in 6,991,908 |
5 + 0 | 0.61% | 1 in 3,107,515 |
4 + 2 | 0.19% | 1 in 621,503 |
4 + 1 | 0.35% | 1 in 31,075 |
3 + 2 | 0.37% | 1 in 14,125 |
4 + 0 | 0.26% | 1 in 13,811 |
2 + 2 | 1.30% | 1 in 985 |
3 + 1 | 1.45% | 1 in 706 |
3 + 0 | 2.70% | 1 in 314 |
1 + 2 | 3.27% | 1 in 188 |
2 + 1 | 10.30% | 1 in 49 |
2 + 0 | 16.59% | 1 in 22 |
*After 5 rollovers, this goes down to 42%. The remaining 8% goes into the Booster Fund, which is used to guarantee minimum jackpots.
EuroMillions vs Powerball
EuroMillions is Europe’s biggest lottery, while Powerball is one of the USA’s top two lotteries.
You can play both of these bumper ball-based games at LotteryWorld, so we’ve compiled the statistics to help you decide which (or both!!) to play.
This table highlights the key facts:
EuroMillions | Category | Powerball |
---|---|---|
Wednesday and Saturday | Draws (IST) | Thursday and Sunday |
₹300 | Purchase Price | ₹300 |
5 from 1-50 + 1 from 1-12 | Numbers to Play | 5 from 1-69 + 1 from 1-26 |
₹149 Crore | Guaranteed Jackpot | ₹300 Crore |
$255 million | Record Jackpot | $1.586 billion |
1 in 139,838,160 | Jackpot Winning Odds | 1 in 292,201,338 |
1 in13 | Overall Winning Odds | 1 in 24.9 |
1 in 22 | Odds to Win Smallest Prize | 1 in 38 |
It’s obvious from the numbers that Powerball is the bigger game. Both its guaranteed and record jackpots are far bigger than EuroMillions’.
They even cost the same to play, so why would you ever choose EuroMillions???...
Well, EuroMillions prizes may be smaller but you are more than TWICE AS LIKELY to win the jackpot as you are on Powerball.
You also get far better odds of winning the smallest, or any prize at all, on EuroMillions.
So, if you want to risk it all and go for the big bucks, choose Powerball. But if you can live with better odds on a ₹149 Crore+ jackpot, then EuroMillions is the game for you.
